One Casino Account & 50k Eur Deposits in just over a month

In the period of June - July 2008 I had a very big relapse in problem gambling. In just over a month I deposited €50,170 with one mobile phone casino account! My monthly salary by comparisson was around €1,400 after tax. For fullness of information I also withdrew €31,281 so a net loss of about €19,000 Eur in one month or expressed another way more than a years salary!

This was just one casino account, I had many others and I was also gambling in land based casinos, other online casinos and on FOBTs. 

Some analysis of the below list of deposits for this mobile phone casino account.

  • The amounts deposited start small, and progressively increase. First deposit was €50 and the last was €3000!
  • Multiple cards were used. And although not shown here many additional card transactions were declined.
  • Evidence of clear chasing of losses.
The casino had a published responsible gambling policy and also had the GamCare charity logo on its site, but the email chain posted below the list of deposits showed that the reality was somewhat different.


In between deposits and emails requesting to close the accounts I was bombarded with emails enticing me to continue playing with the casino, VIP membership, Free chips, monthly percentage of deposits paid as bonus etc etc. My experience of the online/mobile gambling casinos has always been the same, scant regard for people with gambling addiction. Even when they are fully aware of it.

May i firstly congratulate you on doing a great job of fluffing me, and encouraging me to gamble.
As you may know have realised i lose control when i gamble hence the reason i asked you to close my account permanently which you obviously didn't do. Now you have cleaned me out, thank you very much.
